Biography
Guided by the philosophy “Live it. Be it.,” Lee Dawson has built a career defined by wit, charm, and a natural gift for physical comedy that translates seamlessly across both comedic and dramatic roles. Based in Los Angeles, he has established himself as a versatile performer with credits spanning television and film, including True Detective, S.W.A.T., Drop Dead Diva, Cold Case, various characters on The Tonight Show and the award winning film Live From Baghdad.
Among his standout performances are his dual roles as Gator and Bandit in the Funny or Die hit series Two Good Ol’ Boys, and the charismatic Mayor Bowman in the acclaimed western Gunfight at Rio Bravo. In addition to acting, Dawson has written, produced, and starred in several award-winning short films, with new projects — including an animated series and a feature film — currently in development.
