Daniel Willis is a writer/director who draws on his experiences growing up on Chicago’s south side. Daniel’s TV directing credits include CBS’s Matlock and So Help Me Todd, Cruel Summer (HULU), ABC’s The Rookie and Grey’s Anatomy and The Blacklist, Chicago Fire and Chicago Med for NBC. On the writing front, Daniel served as Writer/Producer for two Lena Waithe produced comedy series Twenties and Boomerang. Daniel is a Film Independent Project Involve Directing Fellow and Sony Pictures Television Directing Fellow. His short films and television projects have screened at festivals around the world including The Urbanworld Film Festival, The Global Impact Film Festival, The LA Film Festival, The Chicago International Television Festival, SeriesFest, The New York Television Festival, and ITVFest. Wednesday, Daniel’s latest short film, was a finalist in the HBO Short Film Competition and was licensed by Max.
